Hiatus Averted (Or Has It?)



Some time last night, as I was making a checklist of some variety or the other, I decided that my next weblog entry should proclaim "I am on hiatus until Memorial Day".

Now, I'm not so sure.



I got the keys to the new apartment today. The place seems cavernous. It will be a shame to break up the space with my meager belongings. I tend to pace when I have nervous energy... I've gotten much better, generally-speaking, about the pacing in the last 6 years but there are still times (like this May) where my nervous energy abounds. The new apartment with it's rectangular setup will be good for those times.

It looks like I've won a free bike and kit (helmet, lock, etcetera). I just need to make it to the awards press-conference and allow some follow-up on how the bike has "changed" my life. I have a few days now to think about if it would just be easier to buy a used bike. There are certainly arguments for both approaches. I'm leaning towards going to the press-conference.

I'm looking at a solid two week stretch upcoming. Hopefully, my downtime will line up with that of local folks around here.
