Globalism Gone Wild -- Gang Turf Wars go from Chi-Town to Iraq and back



If I didn't have a weblog, I would simply send out articles periodically to different subsets of my contemporaries.

This article on Chicago street Gangs in the US Military operation in Iraq from the May 1, 2006 Chicago Sun-times was one of those articles that I just had to send via email. My jaw dropped when I read it the first time.

This idea of street gangs sending their members to the military to learn urban warfare techniques to bring back home is the stuff of hollywood screenplays. Crazy. Fascinating. Disturbing on many levels.
