Kanit Kuevibulvanich is currently a Lecturer in Economics and the College at the University of Chicago, Kenneth C. Griffin Department of Economics. Having received his B.A. (Economics) with First Class Honors from Thammasat University, Thailand, ranked salutatorian in the class of 2009, he attended coursework in MPhil Economics at Tinbergen Institute, the Netherlands. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2017.


His recent studies include the wealth inequality and politico-economic effects of trade liberalization, inflation measurement and forecasting, the aspect of exchange rate towards firms’ productivity and pricing power, and the effects of inflation and business cycle on fertility choice.


For his teaching service at UW-Madison, he has been inducted as a College of Letters and Science Teaching Fellow, as well as a recipient of the Anna Morris Ely Teaching Award and the Excellence in Teaching Scholarship from the Department of Economics.
