Elizabeth Chorvat

 

Elizabeth Chorvat is a Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Illinois College of Business. Her research is focused on public finance, including the effect of tax rules on both corporate behavior and household savings and investment behavior. Her current research in corporate tax examines corporate responses to structural features of the U.S. international tax rules. In her research on portfolio choice, she examines how the taxation of investment income affects savings behavior and household-level financial decisions. Professor Chorvat teaches in the areas of individual, corporate and partnership taxation. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Chicago and an S.J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
