guarding the fort...

self-motivation plays an integral role in a successful research career. Motivating one's tired body to continue working and collecting the data needed to wrap up a project. That's what I'm digging myself into right now-- motivating myself to push harder. The fruits of this labor: hopefully a degree completion and some publications as proof.

Without self-motivation, I would be home already. Without the required patience, I would have cut the experiment short. However, invest the time now, and the reward will be greater (and save more time for not having to re-optimize the experiments).
