How Peachy...

Went to an orchard in western Michigan to pick some fresh peaches (at Fruit Acres Farm). It was a nice day, not too hot and not too crowded at the orchard. They took us on a hayride to the patch with Red Haven peaches, and those peaches are just delicious. And each peach can be as big as my hand... that gnome is about 2 inches tall. It was a fun experience picking the peaches off the tree and tasting them right there. Nothing like the store-bought kind as these ones are ripe off the tree. We picked a full bushel worth of 20 lbs and plan to do up some cooking with these peaches as well as plain eating. Probably will plan another trip in late August to pick the white-flesh peaches and later in October for some crisp apples.

hmmmm... I can eat peaches all day...
