can the Cubs make the playoff this year?

Let's hope so. for the past 5 years, the Cubs teased Chicago. Last year, we got a taste of bittersweet. This year, we want the taste of champagne. Just a few more games left and the Cubs are up 1.5 games in the wildcard race. I'm a Dodgers and Padres fan. But the Cubs would have to go through the Braves/Cards in the playoff...

then again, there's always... next year!

Packing Cows

Last night as I was going to a Cubs game at Wrigley Field, I took the public transportation. The CTA red line to be exact. Passengers were packed on the train like cows... well, it was the people who wanted to get on even though there's not a room for one. I wished I had a camera to document it. It was uncomfortable ride because everyone was so close to each other (body contact) that it got hot and you can smell other people's odor. I felt bad for passengers trying to get off before the Wrigley Field. It didn't seem like the CTA was running more trains before the start of the game. I know the CTA runs more trains after the game. Wrigley Field, on a game day, gets congested.

On the positive note, at least people are taking public transportation. Drinking and driving is not cool.

Sept 13. 2004.
for some of us, our birth dates, in month and day, can be displayed by a clock. I wonder if it's biological or coincidence that, when I look at a digitial clock, a lot of times I would see my birth date. strange. or have I conditioned myself to that time everyday so that I would look at the clock?

another mystery...
