After the storm...

The night cooled. Wind howled and leaves flapped. Window blinds creaked incessantly. When will the noise stop? Temperature dropped 20 degrees. Damn, it's gotten cold. Blinds scratched the walls.

Sun rised. Orange. Red. Blue lake reflected the sunbeams. White waves roared, rippled the once calmed water. Wind stopped howling, but continued to snore. The skies cleared up its acnes. Luscious clouds, puffy, patched up the heaven.

Shaq traded to Miami Heat

Now, there's a potential for a Yao Ming vs Shaq finals.

Will the Lakers regret as the Magics once did? and will the Magics lament even more now that they traded T-Mac?

While the tears will flow, none will beat that of the Bulls. It may take another 25 years before the city of Chicago celebrates another NBA championship.

There is no hope. Only a fool's hope. (LOTR)

An Indelible View

While I usually prefer natural wonders over those man-made, I was impressed by the aerial view of 4th of July fireworks. Typically I witness fireworks on the ground and gaze above me to see the explosion of colors in a darken sky. But, as I was flying home on the night of the 4th, the clear sky allowed me to see fireworks light up the earth like fireflies. A burst of red here, a burst of green there. With the yellow street light as backglight for the dark ground, beautiful evanescent fireworks randomly appear. From the sky, every town was having their celebration, and in Chicago, every community and every block was putting up some show. It was magnificent.
