Cardiac Development

in

The Svensson Lab

We are interested in identifying and characterizing genes critical for heart formation.  We use a variety of techniques such as yeast-two-hybrid assays, promoter analysis, protein biochemistry, and generation of transgenic and knockout mice to discover the molecular mechanisms regulating cardiac development.  We hope this work will lead to new insights into the molecular basis of congenital and acquired heart disease.
