Season's Goatings!



Please forgive me for being so juvenile about this, but the idea of the charity goat made me laugh! Certainly, I understand the concept and can appreciate that food (or livestock for food production) is of grave importance to millions (billions?) worldwide. Still... the headline "Charity Goats are the Christmas Rage" and the imagery of a charitable family receiving a "personalized card and a picture of 'their' animal" (while another family makes plans to devour that very animal) does have an absurdist quality to it.
