I am the TA for GEOS 24705: Energy: Science, Technology, and Human Usage. The class is a great crash course in the reality of human energy consumption and how we might be able to sustain our growing energy demands. Topics include energy history, the electrical grid, and the pros and cons of renewable energy sources, with an examination of their capabilities to meet future energy needs using basic physics and efficiency calculations. The course is offered during Winter term.
