My academic appointment is with the Becker Friedman Institute for Research in Economics at the University of Chicago. This institute was recently created when we (The Becker Center on Chicago Price Theory) merged with the Milton Friedman Institute, and is supported by the Economics Department, the Chicago Booth School of Business, and the Law School.

I am also a visiting scholar at Purdue University. My primary affiliation at Purdue is with the Vernon Smith Experimental Economics Laboratory (VSEEL). I am also affiliated with the Purdue University Rendering and Perceptualization Lab (PURPL) and with the Network for Computational Nanotechnology nanoHUB project.
  • nanoHUB The nanoHUB is a rich, web-based resource for research, education and collaboration in nanotechnology. The nanoHUB was created by the NSF-funded Network for Computational Nanotechnology. [my profile and contributions]
I am working on questions of how visual analytics can increase financial security and literacy together with the Financial Literacy Center at RAND/Dartmouth/Wharton, and the Center for Financial Security at the University of Wisconsin-Madison:
  • The mission of the Financial Literacy Center is to develop and test innovative programs to improve financial literacy and promote informed financial decisionmaking.
