Teaching
I am currently teaching the Space Explorers,
part of the Office of Special
Programs.
I run labs on Saturday mornings and help run the Yerkes Summer and Winter
Institutes.
Office hours:
Monday 3:00 - 5:00
AAC 018
Directions:
Enter the Research Institutes building at 5640 S Ellis Ave. Take
the first right, then a left at the dead end by Enrico Fermi's
portrait. Continue down the hall through the glass doors into the
Astronomy & Astrophysics Center. At the end of the hall take
the stairs down to your left. At the bottom of the stairs, go to
the left, and my office is one of the first ones you reach.
My mailbox is also in the AAC. Follow the above directions, but
instead of going down the stairs, just turn right. The mailboxes
are right there.
I have been a Teaching Assistant for Professors Clem Pryke, Stephan
Meyer, and Don York in Physical Sciences core courses.
Over the summer of 2004, I was the director of the Saltz
Summer Internship at the American
Museum of Natural History in New York City. I was in charge
of high school students and ran workshops for them on various topics in
astrophysics.
