Laying on my side

Sometimes these workouts make some sense---and I am the type of person that does better when he understands what he is trying to accomplish. This one all seems structured around drills that get that side-glide position firmed up and as such, I really fell like I made some progress. I find it odd that I am spending time learning how to do a sport that I doubt I will ever really love. That said, since I put out an enormous amount of sweat when I workout, the cool water of the pool is nice---kind of like running in winter, honestly. I think some of my dislike for the sport comes from being so incredibly bad at it---I watch people just flying up and down doing laps and I am still flapping along like a drowning dog (probably not quite that bad).

I was a little worried that a second day in a row in the pool would cause me to resent it; instead, the second day seemed to allow me to cement skills from yesterday in some important ways. I had initially planned to do a two-mile run today, but I think I will only do that on the long week for now.
