Got up and out, feeling pretty good---then I stripped the bolt on my seatpost, had to come and get a quick-release off of my other bike, and then head out again. Frustration from mechanical woes, chilly air, cold feet, work tiredness and that swim workout last night all contributed to a slow day today. At 47th Street I thought, "I should just go back." I thought the same at McCormick Place, and Shedd. By the bridge, I was thinking, "How come I am still going?" Fortunately, I wanted to be home in case they need something at the conference this AM---so I turned around and came back at North. Otherwise, I probably would have just ridden the whole path in the sluggy way I was going.

The Cateye Opticube was perfect.
