Overview

We have made arrangements with two hotels that are both about a half mile from the Farmhouse at People’s Light and Theater Company, which is where the Vedic Ceremony and the evening dinner reception will take place:  The Staybridge Suites and the Holiday Inn Express (also known as the McIntosh Inn).   Both provide a good group rate and a lovely complimentary breakfast each morning.  However, the bridal party and family will be staying at the Staybridge Suites – for the following reasons:

Favorable room layouts:  Each room at Staybridge is a suite, with living room (with TV/DVD player), kitchen, and a bedroom/bathroom behind a door that closes.  There are 1 and 2-bedroom suites available:  the single suites are $109 a night, the doubles are $129 a night. The floor plan to the lower right is an example of the double suite.  The double suites are ideal for traveling families, or guests who would like to split a room with others!

Location of Saturday night get-together:  Because there are a number of events and ceremonies that must take place in the days before the Vedic Ceremony, we will not be having a traditional rehearsal dinner on Saturday night.  Instead, on Saturday evening, we invite all hotel guests and anyone else who would like to join us to a casual summer supper (a “rehearsal BBQ”) at the Staybridge Suites at 6PM —outside, if weather permits!  All guests are welcome to join us for wine and food under the stars before the bride and groom go to bed early, in preparation for the long day ahead.

Shuttles and proximity to reception:  Staybridge Suites is slightly closer to the reception site, and what’s more we’ll be arranging a limited shuttle service on Sunday between the Suites and the reception site, about a half-mile away.  More info on the shuttle schedule as we get closer to the day.

We would love to have traveling guests stay at Staybridge so we can see you at breakfast, around the halls and poolside throughout the weekend! But the Holiday Inn Express is just around the corner, and very close to The Farmhouse as well.  The Holiday Inn Express provides traditional hotel rooms and complimentary internet access, with single rooms (one king or two full-sized beds) at $88 per night.

Some guests have noted that they were forwarded to Staybridge Suites’ National Reservations desk, whose availability was not up to date with our location’s actually availability. When you call, please ask Toy Carlson, to get the most up to date availability information.
