Both are about a 50 minutes' drive (25 miles) from the Philadelphia airport and are about a 25 minutes' drive (5 miles) apart. The first ceremony on Sunday will take place at the Main Line Unitarian Church in Devon at 12:30 pm. However, both the second ceremony and the evening reception will take place at The Farmhouse at the People's Light and Theater Company in Malvern, beginning 4:30 pm. Therefore, the hotels we’ve made arrangements with are both in Malvern. We've regretfully concluded that guests will need access to a car for the duration of the visit. We recommend either renting a car or carpooling with other guests. The regional commuter rail (the SEPTA R5 line) actually does travel out to Devon and Malvern, and is the source of the region's nickname of “Main Line” (as in, “Gossip was thick up and down the Main Line”). However, the train would not get you close enough to the hotel or other ceremony locations, cabs are uncertain, and you'd have to arrange other transport ahead of time anyhow. What's more you'd still need transport on the wedding Sunday from one location to the other. |
