The purpose of this dictionary is to provide a source where you can find the French equivalents for English Internet terms. Even a current French-English / English-French dictionary is unlikely to have many of these words; even words that are widely used usually have to be around for a certain amount of time before being put in dictionaries, and Internet terms are relatively recent. Furthermore, not everyone has access to recent dictionaries. Hopefully, this website will make up for the difficulty of finding French Internet terms in other sources.		Le but de ce dictionnaire est de fournir une source de termes français équivalents aux termes Internet anglais. Même dans un dictionnaire français-anglais / anglais-français actuel, il est peu probable que l'on trouve ces mots. L'apparition des mots dans un dictionnaire est liée à leur emploi durant un certain temps. Or les termes Internets sont relativement récents. De plus, tout le monde n'a pas accès aux dictionnaires actuels. J'espère que ce site web compensera le manque de tels mots.
Words are not included in this dictionary because they are official, but because I have seen them in use. This is a descriptive dictionary, not a prescriptive one. For those interested in a dictionary of only official French terms, there is a link to one on the links page.		Les mots ne sont pas inclus parce qu'ils sont officiels, mais parce qu'ils sont utilisés. C'est un dictionnaire descriptif, pas normatif. Pour ceux qui s'intéressent aux termes français officiels, il y a un lien à un dictionnaire d'eux sur la page des liens.
Although this is primarily a dictionary of Internet terms, I have also included some basic computer terms, some Internet shorthand, and some phrases that, although not unique to the Internet, may be useful in an Internet context.		Bien qu'il s'agisse essentiellement d'un dictionnaire des termes Internet, il inclut également quelques termes d'informatique, des termes abrégés de l'Internet et des locutions qui, quoiqu'ils ne soient pas propres à l'Internet, peuvent être utiles dans ce contexte.
What I have at the moment is only a beginning; I'll be adding more terms as I come across them. I also plan to create WAV files for the words, to act as a pronunciation guide.		Ce qui est ici en ce moment n'est qu'un début; j'ajouterai des mots au fur et à mesure de mes recherches. J'ai également l'intention de mettre à disposition des fichiers sonores au format "wav" pour donner une idée de la prononciation.
If you know of a French Internet term that isn't in this dictionary, please fill out this form to state the word, it's meaning, and some other information. The more you can tell me, the better, but any information is better than none.		S'il te plaît, si tu connais un terme Internet français qui n'est pas dans ce dictionnaire, remplis cette feuille pour me l'indiquer et me dire son sens ainsi que d'autres informations. Plus il y a de renseignements, mieux cela est. Mais s'il y en a peu, c'est mieux que rien.
I also have a list of French terms whose meanings I don't know, or am not sufficiently sure of to put them in my dictionary. It would be a big help if you would look at the list and let me know if you happen to know what any of these words mean.		J'ai également une liste de mots français dont j'ignore ou dont je ne suis pas sûre de la signification. Cela m'aiderait beaucoup si tu regardais cette liste et me disais si tu connais la signification de l'un d'entre eux.
If you have additional information on current entries (or corrections of current entries, if applicable), please e-mail me. I would equally appreciate being told the URL's of French websites which use large numbers of Internet terms.		Si tu as des renseignements supplémentaires sur les entrées actuelles (ou des corrections des entrées actuelles), écris moi. Les URL's des sites web français avec beaucoup des termes Internets serait très utile, aussi.
