Lassoing a Clown/Not a Complete Cloud

Finally read a snarky review of my book. Ah well -- at least the guy read it, which I'm not so sure about with a few of the more positive reviews I've gotten. Actually, I thought I would have gotten slagged a lot more by now. This is from the UK music magazine Uncut, transcribed by David Barker, editor of Continuum's 33 1/3 book series. Oddly, the reviewer gave it 3 stars out of 4.

On the upside, the R.E.M. book got a fleeting mention in Rolling Stone recently (or "Rolling Stones Magazine," as my dad calls it.) And shit, I must be the only author in the world to receive nothing but five-star reviews on Amazon, so I guess I really shouldn't complain.
