You Pays Your Money and You Takes Your Choice
For me, the only light in this dark, frightening week (between the death of John Peel at one end and Bush II: Electric Boogaloo at the other) was the publication of my first Critic's Choice for the Reader. As the old lady said upon leaving the theatre after seeing Mulholland Drive, "It's ain't Dostoevsky." But I'm pretty darn excited to be writing for a new outlet, and a (hopefully) regular gig in my hometown to boot.
