Coursework & Research

My work has tended to be in human rights, globalisation, and religion in the development of those two ideas. Right now, IÕm looking at cases of Mexican nationals on death row in the United States and how Mexico has challenged procedural due-process (via the Vienna Convention) to a yield what it considers to be substanitive due process. However, challenges to justice and soviergnty like these by Mexico also challenge the nature of the state as maintainer or protector of human rights. Such challenges to the due process and legal system of one state clearly challenges that stateÕs ability to not only offer its citizens justice but to clearly protect human rights in the first place.
