I went to Goodspeed, played the harpsichord, and recorded myself using my laptop's built-in microphone. This means the recordings are kind of dimensionless and in general not very good. Also they're all mp4.

The first recording is of me playing my favorite song. This song is beautiful. I guess there's not much to say about it other than that my left hand is too heavy and I messed up the rhythm in a couple spots.

The second recording is the right-hand of a catchy little ditty. I haven't worked out the bass line, but it's just a bum-bah-bum-bah sort of thing. It's pretty hard to miss the little slip at the end. Hey, it was my warm up.

The third recording is the opening of some fugue or other. When I first started playing I had the fingering worked out mentally only for the first eight notes, so that explains the weird pause.

The final recording is kind of a joke. I play "Battle Hymn of the Republic" and sing along. Badly. I don't really know the words. I was reading the lyrics, but they were messing me up. At one point I realized I had sung "coming of the glory of the lord" and saw "lightning" misspelled "lightening," all while not knowing the third line, and it was too much. I never recovered from there. It's hard to figure out how to sing those lines to the melody if you've never even read them. Note the sections where I just hum. After I try the first couple verses and start the third, I quickly finish it off and then play a song that's a bit easier. I play too fast, though, and my nervous fingers hit notes out of order. Then I play something that sounds vaguely familiar...hmmm.
