Functional morphology and biomechanics

University of Chicago

I am a postdoc at the Department of Organismal Biology and Anatomy at the University of Chicago and I am interested in animal biomechanics and in the relationship between morphology and organismal performance. I have studied several aspects of animal locomotion, from gait transitions in rodents to flight mechanics in bats, and how overall morphology affects locomotory abilities. Currently I am switchwing gears and I am starting to work on kinematics and motor control of chewing in mammals.
