John Grigsby

I am a third year PhD student in Economics, specializing in the economics of innovation and firm dynamics. My research combines insights from macroeconomics with techniques employed in the fields of Industrial Organization and microeconometrics in order to study how firms and societies become more productive.

In further research, I study the determinants of consumer credit availability and financing decisions. To read more about my research, click here

I received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Mathematics from Washington & Lee University in 2012. Before attending the University of Chicago, I spent two years as a Senior Research Analyst at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. Since growing up outside of London, I have been an avid follower of the English Premier League, supporting Arsenal Football Club.
