Jonathan Emberton's University of Chicago Webpage

Hi. I'm Jonathan, Class of 2011 in the College. I'm a Math and East Asian Studies double major with interests in mathematical physics and Japanese literature. Below, you can find some of my papers, my opinions, and some general information about me.

An Elucidation of Vector Calculus Through Differential Forms (Chicago REU Summer 2008)

Multidimensional Schroedinger Operators and Spectral Theory (Chicago REU Summer 2009)

An Introduction to Free Quantum Field Theory Through Klein-Gordon Theory (Chicago REU Summer 2010)

Math Courses I've taken:

Honors Analysis Sequence (MATH 207-208-209)

Complex Variables (MATH 270)

Honors Algebra (MATH 257-258)

Topology (MATH 262)

Functional Analysis (MATH 272)

Partial Differential Equations (MATH 275)

Graduate Analysis (MATH 312)

Probability Theory (STAT 251)

Some Other Courses I've taken:

Intermediate Modern Japanese (JAPN 201-202-203)

Advanced Modern Japanese (JAPN 301, 303)

4th-Year Japanese (JAPN 401-402-403)

Greek Thought and Literature (HUMA 120-121)

I'd be happy to comment on any one of these courses if anyone wishes to know my opinions. Since to outsiders, Honors Analysis seems to be very mysterious, I've created a web page on the topic located here. Thus far, I've been very pleased with my courses and professors.

My university e-mail address is jemberton@uchicago.edu. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
