**PROBLEM SETS**

These are the problem sets distributed in various courses. They are listed in approximate order of how advanced the course was. Many of the problem sets include "supplementary problems", which were unassigned leftovers. The solutions, handed out when the problems were turned in, tend to be concise: They represent what I would regard as a good answer. The "comments", handed out when their papers were returned, are a more extended discussion, of issues students had trouble with, strategies for doing the problems, generalizations, side remarks, philosophy, general advice, etc. For courses given several times, there may be some overlap between the problem sets. Items marked "scanned" were produced from physical originals.
