The TriplePoint Project
WHO WE ARE
TriplePoint is an experiment in word of mouth advertising created by students and young professionals. Its purpose is to create the elusive "buzz," the desire for a product or service to be discussed outside of its immediate advertising space.
OUR BASIC PRINCIPLE
The core values behind TriplePoint are simple, but they are as hard to attain as a "triple point" itself:
Provide solid evidence of increased sales and market acceptance through sheer creativity
Allow fluid movement among multiple target demographics to increase a product's market share
Create an expanding advertising environment in which creativity is not abandoned for "tried and true" methods of communication
OUR FIRST EXPERIMENT
TriplePoint is, in fact, its own pilot experiment. Without the standard investment associated with advertising to gain business, TriplePoint will produce parody commercials and short sketches to be distributed online without copyright restrictions on reproduction. If the experiment is successful, the films, which will cost little to produce and less to distribute, will begin to generate a web-buzz, which will in turn drive traffic to the official TriplePoint website. It is the hope of those individuals involved with this endeavor that this buzz will spill into the advertising marketplace and generate sales in the form of production and consulting work, in turn bridging the gap between established companies and their increasingly dynamic young consumer base.
