David S. Sandeford
M.A. Candidate,
Division of the Social Sciences.
I am an alumnus of
the University of
Texas where I earned my
B.A. in history, religious studies, and sociology. I am currently completing my Master of the
Arts Degree in the Social Sciences at the University of Chicago. My studies at Chicago have centered on social theory and
political philosophy. I am currently completing
my master’s thesis, “Chomsky versus Habermas: on Language and Politics,” which
is an attempt to outline the sociological theory implicit in the linguistic,
historical, and political scholarship of Noam Chomsky and prove its
applicability to the field of sociology by contrasting it with Jürgen Habermas’s
The Theory of Communicative Action. If you have any questions about my
research or would like a copy of my curriculum vitae please feel free to
contact me.
