I'm an assistant professor in the Philosophy Department at the University of Chicago.  I work in the philosophy of mind, the philosophy of action, and related fields.

 

My main current projects are about rational explanation and semantic contextualism.  I have also written or am writing on the ‘naturalization’ of mental content, conceptions of animal life, externalism about content, and Wittgenstein’s treatment of understanding and related phenomena.
