I am an Assistant Professor in political science at the University of Chicago. My research interests include American politics and political methodology, with a focus on voter-to-voter communication and the spread of political behavior, ideology and information. My other work has evaluated the consequences of different voting technologies, developed procedures for matching with a multi-valued treatment, and compared theoretical predictions of strategic voting to outcomes in Britain.

Before coming to the University of Chicago, I received my Ph.D from the California Institute of Technology in social science. I completed my B.S. in mathematics and economics at the University of Redlands.
