The Fire Wire Ensemble is dedicated to bringing outstanding contemporary music by living composers to new audiences and to the promotion of young, innovative artists. We place a heavy emphasis on interactive and interdisciplinary works which use technology in new, provocative ways. Each of our concerts feature multi-media and electro-acoustic works and collaborative projects, as well as the occasional purely acoustic composition.
Founded by composers Allison Ogden and Carmel Raz in 2006, the ensemble is now entering its second season, and will continue to bring new and exciting music to its Chicago audience.
