Don't let the name throw you. I'm not actually a baker. I'm really a linguist. Well, more like an apprentice linguist. But I have a lot of opinions, about linguistics and other things. And chances are that you're here because you might be interested in some of those opinions.
In the Professional section of my site you can find opinions on topics such as:
- What discourse coherence has to do with the resolution of verb phrase ellipsis.
- Which LaTeX package(s) you should use to make trees.
- Useful Hidden Markov Model tools written in Python
- Why you should hire me or give me money.
In the Personal section of my site you can get a boatload of opinions on things like:
- Internet musicians you've never heard of but should probably listen to.
- The importance of art in our every day life (preview: it's not experiencing the art that's important).
- What's wrong with Quicktime and iTunes and where abused Mac users can turn for help.
- Which webcomics you need to point your RSS aggregators at.
- Which Firefox extensions you can use to make beating the Internet a breeze.
- How you should be typing.
I'm not just giving away opinions; I'm collecting them too. It is what I call the Opinion Exchange Program. You can join the program by sending me your opinion on something.
