Welcome to my Web site!

I am a graduate student enrolled in the Medical Scientist Training Program (an NIH supported MD/PhD program) at the University of Chicago.  My primary research interests are in Cancer Immunology and it is in this field that I hope to pursue my graduate studies.

My most recent research experience was with with Dr. Igal Gery, PhD at the Laboratory of Immunology, Section on Experimental Immunology at the National Eye Institute of the National Institute of Health.  This laboratory focuses its efforts on the study of Experimental Autoimmune Uveitis.  While at this laboratory I was involved in a study which analyzed the IgG Isotypes produced by a certain strain of double transgenic mice that exhibit uveitis.

I also have worked at the Laboratory of Manuel del Cerro, MD at the University of Rochester Medical Center, department of Ophthalmology.  Although Dr. del Cerro is now retired, his laboratory was dedicated to bringing sight to the blind by concentrating on the perfection of retinal transplantation as a treatment to several human retinal degenerative diseases.
