I am a doctoral student in the cognitive psychology program at the University of Chicago. I’m working with Dr. Sian Beilock in the human performance lab and I am a fellow of the Institute of Education Sciences here at the University of Chicago. I graduated from California State University, Northridge in 2007 with a B.A. in psychology.

Research Interest
I am interested in the interaction of emotion and cognitive control. Specifically, I study how different sources of stress interact with working memory to impact learning and achievement in academic settings. I also develop interventions to reduce poor performance in stressful academic situations, using theories derived from social and cognitive psychology.
