Patricia B. Brauner

Patricia B. Brauner is the Coordinator of the Center for Italian Opera Studies, which prepares the Rossini critical edition and assists the University of Chicago Press with Works of Giuseppe Verdi.

Brauner is Managing Editor of Works of Gioachino Rossini (Bärenreiter-Verlag, Kassel) and has edited Rossini's L'occasione fa il ladro (with Giovanni Carli Ballola and Philip Gossett), Ermione (with Philip Gossett), Armida (with Charles S. Brauner), La riconoscenza / Il vero omaggio, and La pietra del paragone (with Anders Wiklund). She also maintains the Center's website.

Besides 19th-century Italian opera, her interests lie in medieval music and liturgy, manuscript studies, and problems of editing.
