I am an applied microeconomist who studies public health in developing countries. I am interested in the effect of information on health behaviors, including hygiene and the avoidance of novel infectious diseases. I also study the role information in health care markets, such as the market for pharmaceuticals. Other research examines the relationship between poverty, disease, and mental health. I received my Ph.D. from Brown University in 2008.
