loading LaTeX document classes
Find the right document class at CTAN
download and extract folder to desktop
become root and and mv folder to /usr/share/textmf/tex/latex/
execute the command mktexlsr
If it is a document class that is to be used by lyx, open lyx
Edit->Reconfigure
restart lyx
